Description :
Assist with grounds maintenance on the HSC campus to include the following: mowing project work trim mowing tree trimming lawn care clean up collecting of recyclables and all other duties as assigned. Duties will require operating of equipment such as push mowers riding mowers string trimmers and UTVs.
These positions will involve outdoor work and strenuous physical labor. Seasonal employees are paid only for hours worked; must work a minimum of 25 hours each week.
General Requirements :
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have a valid drivers license. Must be able to work independently and as a team manage time efficiently work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions abide by all HIPAA laws and requirements and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Uniforms will not be provided and employees must adhere to HSC dress code policy.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
Lawn care experience is preferred but not required. Small engine operation including trimmers push mowers and leaf blowers. Drivers license and experience operating UTVs. Self motivated individuals with an eye for details. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
Other Information : The normal summer season is approximately May through September. Opportunities may exist to begin earlier and work later.
