Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a student at Ithaca College
  • Familiarity withIthaca Collegecampus activities and history
  • Interest in helping Ithaca College
  • Good time-management skills
  • Ability tocommunicate effectivelyover the telephone and email
  • Courteous and engaging personality
  • Able to present information concisely
  • Able to follow directions and accurately record data/details

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft OfficeExcel Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with social media: Facebook Instagram LinkedInetc.

Description

This person supports the Division of Advancement by assisting the Engagement team with daily operations alumni communications data processing and event preparation. As an ambassador you would help strengthen relationships between Ithaca College and its alumni community while promoting student awareness of alumni engagement and institutional advancement.
You would work collaboratively with Advancement staff and report directly to the Engagement Operations Associate receiving project-based assignments across the division.

Responsibilities

  • Answering themain phone line transferring calls and takingmessages
  • Respond to the alumni email account
  • Providegeneral information toalumni
  • Processingdata in our database (training provided)
  • Coding events and creating nametags
  • Gathering supplies for events
  • Other general office duties as assigned

Schedule/Hours

  • Office hours are Monday Friday 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
  • 10-15 hours a week
