As a Lead Software Development Engineer its up to you to definedesign and refine the tech that keeps us one step ahead of listeners. Anticipate. Innovate. Youll drive the team forward guiding them over every obstacle and leading the way to develop exciting original and effective solutions. ABOUT THE TEAM
The Player team is responsible for building an audio listening platform that will improve how millions of Audible members hear and interact with our content. We own the end-to-end audio listening experience which includes player clients for web iOS & Android content security & digital rights management content delivery infrastructure and processing / synchronization of listening data across devices at a massive scale. Audible customers spend most of their time with Audible in Player components of Audible apps across FireOS Android iOS and Web.

- Experience in software development or experience working with REST API based services and experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
- 5 years of developing large-scale multi-tiered distributed software systems using distributed programming experience
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other related discipline

- Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
- Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience managing multiple projects in parallel through prioritization planning and task delegation
- Experience in delivering test frameworks test tools leading the QA projects and initiatives
- History of delivering customer-driven software products at a high scale in a fast paced technology first rapid-growth company
- Experience with machine learning and related engineering skill sets - Full stack proficiency (e.g. Java NoSQL HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript )

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
