Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Shopping Center in Irvine CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Security Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location you will complete regular patrols with a primarily driving post stay highly visible to help to deter security-related concerns and assist guests and tenants with professional customer service. You will document observations communicate clearly with site contacts and respond to incidents as part of an agile reliable innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail shopping location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with conflict de-escalation and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or local public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout storefronts common areas loading areas and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
- Monitor entrances high-traffic areas and restricted areas for policy compliance including supporting loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting suspicious behavior and documenting incidents per post orders.
- Complete routine reports and activity logs communicate clearly via radio and/or phone and assist with access control and customer directions while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Guard card/license is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
