Job Summary

Job Description:

A Civil Engineer in a steel manufacturing companyplans designs and supervises the construction and maintenance of plant infrastructure including structural steel foundations heavy machinery bays and industrial buildings. Key responsibilities include structural analysis ensuring safety compliance and overseeing construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Analysis:Perform structural analysis design steel/RCC elements (beams columns crane foundations storage areas) and create blueprints using software like AutoCAD and STAAD Pro.
Site Supervision:Oversee construction installation and maintenance of plant buildings warehouses and roads.
Steel Structure Focus:Supervise steel fabrication and erection works for PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings) or industrial projects.
Quality & Safety:Ensure compliance with safety standards (EHS) IS codes and perform material testing including NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and cube testing.
Project Management:Manage project timelines budgets and resources (BOQs/MTOs) from conception to completion.
Maintenance:Monitor the structural integrity of existing plant buildings and plan for repairs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./).
Experience:Generally requires 38 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or steel plant environments.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and structural analysis software (SAP2000 STAAD Pro).
