Job Summary
Palo Duro Nursing Home is seeking a dependable and compassionate Transportation Aide to assist with transporting residents safely to and from medical appointments and outings. This role requires a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who is in good standing with the state and has a strong commitment to resident safety and care.
The Transportation Aide will also assist residents during transport and provide support to nursing staff when needed.
Responsibilities
Safely transport residents to medical appointments therapy sessions and scheduled outings
Assist residents entering and exiting vehicles safely
Ensure residents are secure and comfortable during transportation
Maintain transportation logs and schedules
Communicate with nursing staff regarding resident appointments and needs
Help monitor resident condition during transport and report concerns to nursing staff
Ensure transport vehicles remain clean and in good condition
Follow all facility safety policies and procedures
Requirements
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the state
Valid and active drivers license with a clean driving record
Experience working in a long-term care or nursing home setting preferred
Ability to safely assist residents with mobility needs
Compassionate reliable and professional demeanor
Strong communication and teamwork skills
