This position is for a full-time 12 month unclassified in-person staff position located on-site at our Bossier Campus.
Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in related field or two (2) years of work experience in computer network and telephone support.
- One (1) or more basic industry certifications such as Network Security Server A or CCNA MCSE preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see read talk hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
- Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as but not limited to personal computer calculator copier and fax machine.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds.

Job Specification
This position is to assist in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the computer networks and phone system to include but not limited to project planning maintain working knowledge of the network and data center operations collaboration routing switching and security.
Job Duties and Other Information
- Assist with maintaining network infrastructure operation and design for college.
- Install and maintain network hardware physical and virtual.
- Install and maintain network cabling infrastructure.
- Install patch and update network devices and computer systems.
- Create and manage VMware virtual appliances used for network management.
- Manage DNS and DHCP servers.
- Manage the VoIP phone system.
- Manage various network devices to include routers switches firewalls wireless LAN controllers and access points.
- Respond to and troubleshoot network related issues.
- Perform computer systems and network administrative task.
- Assist in project planning and evaluating equipment and software requirements.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all aspects of network and data center operations.
- Must maintain close working relationship with the Sr. Network Engineer to ensure continuity.
- Document and maintain current network drawings.
- Monitor network for anomalies.
- Assist with computer forensic investigations or computer usage monitoring when requested.
- Assist with any data center operations as needed.
- Perform other duties as specified by supervisor.
