About the Role

The successful candidate will provide technical and practical support across the Art department ensuring that lessons are well-resourced equipment is maintained and pupils can work safely and effectively. You will assist teaching staff and support pupils during practical sessions helping to foster a productive and creative learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing materials equipment and resources for Art lessons across Key Stages 35

• Maintaining and organising the art studios and storage areas

• Assisting teachers and pupils during practical lessons

• Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed

• Supporting departmental projects exhibitions and displays

• Ensuring health and safety standards are met in all practical areas

• Supporting extra-curricular art activities and clubs

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience in a practical art support role ideally in a school environment

• Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently

• Demonstrate knowledge of art materials techniques and equipment

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Be proactive reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Understand and implement health and safety procedures in practical settings
