About the Role
The successful candidate will provide technical and practical support across the Art department ensuring that lessons are well-resourced equipment is maintained and pupils can work safely and effectively. You will assist teaching staff and support pupils during practical sessions helping to foster a productive and creative learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing materials equipment and resources for Art lessons across Key Stages 35
Maintaining and organising the art studios and storage areas
Assisting teachers and pupils during practical lessons
Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed
Supporting departmental projects exhibitions and displays
Ensuring health and safety standards are met in all practical areas
Supporting extra-curricular art activities and clubs
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Have experience in a practical art support role ideally in a school environment
Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Demonstrate knowledge of art materials techniques and equipment
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be proactive reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Understand and implement health and safety procedures in practical settings
