About the Role
The successful candidate will provide technical support across the Food Technology department assisting teachers and pupils in practical lessons. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients maintaining equipment and ensuring the learning environment is safe and well-organised.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing ingredients materials and equipment for Food Technology lessons
Supporting teachers and pupils during practical lessons
Maintaining and cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas
Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as required
Ensuring health and safety standards are followed in all practical areas
Supporting departmental projects displays and extra-curricular activities
Assisting with lesson planning and resource organisation
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Have experience in Food Technology support or a similar practical role
Demonstrate excellent organisational and time-management skills
Be confident in using kitchen equipment and following safety procedures
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be proactive reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Maintain a high standard of health safety and hygiene in all practical areas
