About the Role

An established automotive manufacturing company is looking for a Quality Systems Engineer responsible for ensuring that the Quality Management System is properly established implemented and maintained according to IATF 16949:2016 standards customer-specific requirements and corporate guidelines.

This role will play a key part in maintaining compliance with international automotive quality standards and supporting continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System

Maintain and ensure compliance of the Quality Management System according to IATF 16949:2016
Plan and execute internal audits of the quality management system
Ensure follow-up and closure of corrective and preventive actions from internal and external non-conformities or customer complaints
Maintain and update controlled documentation related to the quality system
Coordinate management review meetings and related reporting

Audits & Certifications

Act as the primary contact with certification bodies (e.g. Bureau Veritas) for recertification and surveillance audits
Coordinate activities related to customer-specific quality requirements
Support activities related to CCC Certification (China Compulsory Certification) when required

Quality Support

Provide guidance and support to internal departments regarding Quality Management System requirements
Support development and updates of quality documentation
Assist with process quality assurance activities in production when required

Requirements

Education
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Systems or Quality Engineering roles
Experience conducting internal quality system audits
Experience coordinating external certification audits

Technical Knowledge

Advanced knowledge of IATF 16949:2016
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification
Knowledge of risk analysis methodologies
Strong understanding of process approach methodology
Experience with problem-solving methodologies (8D 8 Steps)
Knowledge of Core Tools:
APQP
PPAP
PFMEA
Control Plan
MSA
SPC

Languages

Advanced English (bilingual SpanishEnglish)
