Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain scalable backend systems using various languages and frameworks.
- Implement robust APIs to support the broad range of services offered by Netflix.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews unit testing and adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to maintain user satisfaction.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to leverage in development processes.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Doctorate in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum Experience: 10 years of experience in backend development.
- Desired Experience: Proven track record of building and scaling backend systems in a high-traffic environment.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java Python or Go.
- Expertise in database management systems and architectural patterns.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS Azure etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
