Senior Full Stack Software Development Engineer AI

Join Experian Automotive and help power one of the industrys most trusted vehicle data platforms. Youll design and build high-scale cloud-native systems that process millions of vehicle history and transaction requests daily supporting major partners across dealerships lenders marketplaces and enterprise platforms (e.g. Carvana Cox Automotive and others).

This role blends modern distributed systems engineering with AI-assisted development and emerging agentic workflows giving you the opportunity to shape both core platform architecture and the next generation of intelligent engineering practices.

About the Role:

As a Senior AI FullStack Software Development Engineer you will design and build highscale lowlatency cloud services that power vehicle history VIN intelligence and transaction platforms used by major automotive partners and marketplaces. You will operate as a technical leader owning architecture influencing platform direction mentoring engineers and helping define the next generation of AIenabled development practices.

This role blends deep distributed systems engineering with handson AIassisted development allowing you to shape both core platform architecture and intelligent automation capabilities across the software development lifecycle.

This role reports to the Senior Director Software Development.

What Youll Do

• Design build and support highperformance APIs and microservices for vehicle history VIN intelligence and transaction systems.
• Develop and scale Java/Spring Boot services in a modern AWS cloudnative environment.
• Architect eventdriven systems using Kafka SQS or similar technologies to enable asynchronous processing and data pipelines.
• Contribute to platformwide decisions around architecture scalability resiliency and security.
• Implement and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines automated testing strategies and observability practices.
• Participate in full SDLC ownership: design build deploy operate (you build it you own it).
• Collaborate closely with product data and partner teams to deliver missioncritical integrations.
• Mentor engineers and help cultivate a highperforming collaborative engineering culture.

AIAssisted Engineering & Agentic Systems

• Leverage tools such as GitHub Copilot Codex Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate development testing and documentation.
• Design and integrate AIassisted or agentdriven workflows into engineering processes and/or production systems.
• Build or support AIpowered features such as automation decisioning recommendations or data enrichment.
• Create toolintegrated agent workflows including prompt design orchestration and APIbased execution.
• Evaluate and productionize AIgenerated outputs with a strong focus on security quality compliance cost and observability.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10 years (or equivalent experience) building large-scale distributed high-volume transactional systems.
• Strong expertise in Java Spring Boot microservices architecture and REST API design.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (compute storage containers networking security monitoring).
• Experience building event-driven architectures (Kafka SQS ActiveMQ or similar).
• Strong experience with observability tools (e.g. Splunk Dynatrace Datadog) for debugging and performance optimization.
• Front-end experience with React JavaScript HTML/CSS (full-stack capability preferred).
• Experience with PostgreSQL/DB2 and database performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of Agile SDLC and modern engineering best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation or similar).

Nice to Have

• Experience working with automotive data VIN decoding or vehicle lifecycle systems.
• Familiarity with high-availability systems (99.9% uptime) and strict latency SLAs.
• Experience integrating with enterprise partners or external APIs at scale.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms or deploying AI-powered features in production.
