Description

IR Saxonburg team seeks an intern with experience in software design coding and debugging who would like to help drive manufacturing improvements in the areas of manufacturing automation/monitoring contemporary application development for manufacturing processes and augmented/mixed reality application development. The intern will gain real-world software engineering experience at a thriving company as well as experience and training in project management and execution skills that will set this person apart in future career opportunities.

We frequently work in small teams to solve problems and explore new technologies and we are constantly learning from one another and striving to grow as a group. The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative.

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with the manufacturing and automation initiatives and challenges across the site and collaboratively identify project opportunities best aligned to skills
  • Research methods to execute on project and propose solutions with recommendation on path forward
  • Develop trial and implement pilot program and/or deployment to manufacturing
  • Present findings or results with recommended path forward

Requirements

  • Computer Science/Network Engineering Engineering or Mathematics major
  • Ability to work creatively in multi-disciplinary teams and strive for innovative solutions
  • Experience programming in some combination of C# .NET Python JavaScript LabView and/or Unity a must
  • SQL or database experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and mathematics skills a major plus
  • Citizen or permanent resident

Working Conditions

  • This role will be based on-site in Insert work location.
  • Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
  • Use of hands and fingers for typing writing and handling documents.
  • Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
