Job Title: Collar Linking OperativeWe are looking for Collar Linkers to join our growing team in is a full-time permanent position working 38 hours a week on dayshift. Rate of pay for this role is 13.08 per hour increasing to 13.45 in May training will be provided but if you have experience in this role or something similar your expertise will be highly valued and the RoleYou will be:carefully following precise detailed written instructions for each type of garmentattaching various types of trimmings (e.g. collars cuffs skirts pockets) onto garmentssorting trims to be fitted measured and marking and then thread onto machineryrunning trimmings onto machine points at one stitch per point and doubling where necessaryrunning garments onto machine points evenly or running on a straight wale taking account of marked guide positionsstitch trimmings and garment together by machine process chain off remove garment and lay aside to barrowAbout youYou will:have the ability to carefully and accurately follow detailed written instructionstake pride in doing a job well and never compromise on high standardscommunicate well with colleagues and be an enthusiastic and supportive team memberhave excellent colour visionhave previous experience operating machineryAbout UsFounded in 1797 Johnstons of Elgin is an innovative luxury clothing brand celebrating 225 years of experience in working with the worlds finest fibres.
