Portfolio Project Scheduler Midstream Program
Location: Houston TX Hybrid (4 days onsite / Fridays remote)
Portfolio scheduling role supporting 185 concurrent midstream product replacement and well connection projects where schedule performance directly impacts when wells are brought online and producing.
Program Overview
A large portfolio of midstream product replacement and well connection projects is underway to enable wells to be connected and producing as early as possible. At any given time approximately 185 projects are progressing through planning engineering and field execution.
Because production timing and commercial commitments depend on schedule performance across this portfolio maintaining alignment between projects contractors engineering teams and field operations is critical.
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Project Scheduler who can manage scheduling visibility across this program and help ensure project timelines remain coordinated realistic and responsive to changing execution conditions.
Program Impact
This role plays a key part in ensuring that execution timelines across the project portfolio support early production targets and operational commitments. The Portfolio Scheduler helps maintain visibility into schedule performance across a large number of active projects and works closely with project teams to ensure schedule updates reflect field conditions and execution priorities.
The position supports decision-making by helping project teams understand schedule risks dependencies and potential impacts to startup timelines.
Role Summary
The Portfolio Project Scheduler is responsible for maintaining schedule integrity across a large portfolio of concurrent projects ensuring that timelines dependencies and execution priorities remain aligned.
Success in this role requires strong understanding of critical path analysis execution sequencing and schedule risk management along with the ability to rapidly update schedules as project scopes field conditions or priorities evolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain schedules supporting product replacement and well connection initiatives
- Coordinate scheduling activities across a portfolio of approximately 185 concurrent projects
- Ensure schedules remain aligned with production targets commercial commitments and field execution priorities
- Work closely with project managers engineering teams contractors and field operations to gather and validate schedule inputs
- Analyze critical path activities project dependencies and schedule constraints
- Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies to protect project timelines
- Track progress against milestones and communicate schedule impacts to project teams
- Support rapid schedule updates and replanning as project scopes field conditions or priorities change
- Maintain schedule accuracy and visibility across the overall project portfolio
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Associates Degree
- 10 years of project scheduling experience
- Experience supporting oil & gas energy industrial or infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience managing schedules across multiple concurrent projects
- Strong understanding of critical path methodology project sequencing and schedule dependencies
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced execution environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 15 years of scheduling experience
- Experience supporting product replacement well connection or similar field execution programs
- Familiarity with midstream or upstream operations
- Experience supporting large project portfolios (100 active projects)
- High attention to detail and strong sense of schedule ownership

- Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM CST
- Work Arrangement: 4 days onsite remote Fridays
- Contract Duration: 12 months with potential extension
