About the Role
Join a forward-thinking team as a Project Manager in Albany NY driving impactful climate resilience projects for New York State. Youll manage cross-functional initiatives focused on floodplain modeling climate hazard data and cutting-edge geospatial platforms. Collaborate with leading experts to develop data products that influence climate adaptation and public safety outcomes while advancing your technical and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate climate data product development from user research and prototyping to user testing and deployment.
- Manage contracts project timelines and deliverables for complex climate hazard modeling initiatives.
- Facilitate agile workflows ensuring effective communication and progress across multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct and oversee climate risk assessments leveraging hydrologic and hydraulic modeling expertise.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data products are actionable equitable and meet the needs of NYS agencies and partners.
- Oversee the integration and management of GIS and geospatial data using ArcGIS Pro and ESRI enterprise tools.
- Prepare and present analytical findings and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills and Experience

- 3-6 years project management in climate hazard or environmental data roles.
- Demonstrated expertise with floodplain modeling hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and FEMA map products.
- Strong contract management skills.
- Experience with product development user research prototyping and user testing in data products.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro Salesforce SharePoint and Office365.
- Bachelors degree in environmental science risk management computer/data science or related field.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret climate hazard datasets.

Preferred Skills

- Masters degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with climate risk assessment and advanced geospatial analysis.
- Coding skills in Python.
- Familiarity with Tableau for data visualization.
- Strategic planning and partnership-building experience.
