Salesforce Developer

Location: Chicago IL (Hybrid)

A financial services organization is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to design and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions supporting enterprise business operations.

This role will focus on building and maintaining Salesforce applications across Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud implementing custom development using Apex and Lightning Web Components and supporting integrations with enterprise systems and third-party platforms. The Senior Salesforce Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable well-governed Salesforce solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Salesforce development system integrations and DevOps practices within enterprise environments.

• Design and implement custom Salesforce solutions using Apex Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Visualforce.

• Develop and maintain business logic using a combination of Apex and Salesforce Flow.

• Build custom objects fields workflows validation rules and automation to support business processes.

• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and platform reliability.

• Configure and maintain Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud environments.

• Manage roles profiles permissions and data security controls.

• Support user management system configuration and ongoing platform enhancements.

• Design and implement integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.

• Connect Salesforce with enterprise systems such as ERP platforms identity providers and third-party applications.

• Support middleware and ETL processes used for data synchronization and migration.

• Manage Salesforce deployments across sandbox and production environments.

• Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise.

• Participate in Agile delivery processes including sprint planning development cycles and release management.

• Maintain data integrity across Salesforce environments.

• Use SOQL and SOSL to query validate and troubleshoot platform data.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise security and data governance standards.

• Work closely with product owners QA engineers architects and business stakeholders.

• Participate in system design discussions and provide technical recommendations.

• Contribute to improvements in development standards platform governance and release processes.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience

• Salesforce Administrator Certification

• Salesforce Platform Developer I (PDI)

• 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience

• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud implementations

• Experience developing enterprise Salesforce solutions in regulated or large enterprise environments is a plus

• Strong expertise with:

  • Apex development

  • Lightning Web Components (LWC)

  • Visualforce

  • SOQL/SOSL queries

• Experience designing Salesforce automation using Flows and Apex triggers

• Experience implementing REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integrations

• Experience integrating Salesforce with identity platforms enterprise systems and third-party applications

• Familiarity with AppExchange solutions and connectors

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines

• Experience using Azure DevOps GitHub or similar DevOps platforms

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models

• Familiarity with HTML CSS JavaScript and object-oriented programming concepts

• Experience with data migration tools and ETL processes

• Strong understanding of Salesforce data models and security architecture

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
