Job Summary
Job Title: Design Technician
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 2 Years
Location: Mounds View MN 55112
Shift: 1st Shift
Role Overview
Support product design and development activities for medical devices
Create and modify component designs using CAD tools
Provide technical support for production testing and process improvement initiatives
Responsibilities
Design components or system portions and modify existing designs to improve products
Create design layouts sketches and technical drawings using CAD tools
Utilize software such as CAD CAM CATIA ProEngineer SolidWorks or Siemens NX
Coordinate design requirements with engineering manufacturing tooling and planning teams
Perform testing and troubleshooting using schematics and technical documentation
Gather and analyze technical data and perform calculations for design activities
Support production maintenance safety and product development teams
Run projects perform complex tests interpret results and prepare technical reports
Assist in improving systems and processes for better efficiency
Train or guide lower-level technicians and review work when needed
Must Have
Minimum 8 years of relevant design technician experience
Experience with 3D Printing
Strong experience using CAD or similar design software
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
High School Diploma vocational or technical certification
Nice to Have
Tooling experience
Experience with SolidWorks CATIA Siemens NX or ProEngineer
Experience working in medical device or manufacturing environments
Experience leading technical tasks or supporting junior technicians
