Receiving Final Check & Shipping Clerk
Position Description
Support the receiving cleaning/final check and shipping functions within the Fluke Service Repair group. This role performs a broad range of material handling inspection documentation and shipping activities to ensure serviced products are processed accurately safely and on time.
Primary Responsibilities
- Unload incoming shipments from UPS FedEx and common carriers (up to approximately 200 boxes per day) including opening detrashing sorting document matching and staging of incoming freight.
- Tag store and manage inventory of ship cases associated with customersupplied equipment.
- Deliver received product to appropriate internal destinations.
- Perform cleaning labeling and visual inspection of serviced units prior to shipment.
- Package label and seal small packages for shipment and generate shipping manifests.
- Complete data entry scanning and filing of required company documentation.
- Provide backup support for the shipping dock receiving area and cleaning/final check operations as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks in accordance with safety guidelines and policies.
- Occasionally perform short local drives to pick up packages from carrier hubs when required.
Requirements
- Experience in receiving shipping and/or inspection activities.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
- Commitment to following all safety rules and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in receiving shipping and/or inspection.
- Experience handling commercial test and measurement electronic equipment including heavier units.
- Familiarity with commercial carriers (e.g. UPS FedEx DHL heavy freight carriers).
- Experience using FoaminPlace or Speedy Packer packaging equipment.
Schedule
Monday through Friday standard daytime shift. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on business needs.
