Job Description
Your Team
You will join a global team of 27 experienced portfolio managers from diverse backgrounds managing a large number of Equity and Fixed Income ETFs. The newly established Taiwan ETF PM team will play an integral part in managing and growing the local ETF business.
About the Role:
- Manage passive ETFs index funds and feeder ETFs in equity fixed income or balanced/multi-asset categories.
- Ensure compliance with Taiwan regulatory requirements and internal investment processes.
- Oversee index reconstitution portfolio trading cash management and corporate action decisions.
- Monitor tracking error and implement strategies to optimize portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with equity and fixed income analysts and traders to implement portfolio decisions.
- Lead or contribute to investment process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Engage with internal stakeholders (capital markets product development) and external clients (institutional due diligence conferences).
- Utilize advanced portfolio analytics and modeling tools (e.g. Aladdin Bloomberg FactSet Barra/Axioma) for portfolio optimization.
- Maintain thorough documentation of policies procedures and investment decisions.
Requirement for the Role :
- Masters degree in Business Finance Economics or related field preferred.
- CFA designation or progress towards CFA is preferred but not mandatory.
- 5 to 15 years of asset management experience specifically managing passive ETFs or mutual funds in both equity and fixed income.
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience managing or co-managing passive funds/ETFs.
- Strong knowledge of global equity and fixed income markets index construction and passive investment strategies.
- Experience with portfolio optimization tracking error management and corporate action analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and cross-team collaboration.
- Experience with portfolio management systems such as Aladdin Bloomberg or Charles River is preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python SQL/Oracle and VBA is a significant advantage.
On-site presence in Taipei office is mandatory.
Ability to work under regulatory requirements personally implementing investment processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with portfolio managers analysts traders compliance and operations.
Speak fluent English to communicate with the global team
Taiwan Licensing and Certification Requirements
The candidate must meet one of the following certification and experience criteria:
- Certified Securities Investment Analyst (CSIA) License
- Passed a Senior Securities Specialist Examination
- Passed examination for Securities Investment Trust and Consulting Professionals
