The BMS Application Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced building management systems aimed at enhancing the efficiency of building operations. The individual will work closely with project managers clients and other stakeholders to ensure that the systems meet the required specifications and performance criteria. This position may also involve troubleshooting and providing maintenance support for existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design and Development:

• Design customized BMS solutions based on client specifications and building requirements.
• Create technical documentation including system diagrams software specifications and installation instructions.
• Collaborate with architects engineers and contractors to integrate BMS with other building systems.

Implementation and Commissioning:

• Oversee the installation and configuration of BMS hardware and software.
• Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure functionality and performance meet specified standards.
• Train end-users on system operation and troubleshooting procedures.

Maintenance and Support:

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for BMS installations.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to optimize system performance.
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests for technical assistance.

Project Management:

• Work with project managers to develop project timelines budgets and deliverables.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders.

Research and Development:

• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in BMS.
• Explore new tools and techniques for system optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Participate in the development of new features and enhancements for BMS software.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering Mechanical Engineering Computer Science or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building automation systems or related fields.
  • Proven experience in programming BMS software (e.g. Honeywell Tridium Schneider Electric etc.).

Certifications:

• Professional certifications related to building automation HVAC control or project management may be beneficial.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems building automation and control theory.
• Proficient in programming languages and tools used in BMS applications (e.g. BACnet Modbus etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require working in various environments including office settings on-site installations and client locations.
• Some travel may be necessary to meet with clients or oversee installations.
• Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate project deadlines or client schedules.
