As a Locum MD in Emergency Medicine you will play a critical role in our medical practice providing immediate care to patients in urgent situations. Your expertise will be essential in assessing diagnosing and treating a diverse range of medical conditions. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients
- Assess and triage patients in a fast-paced environment
- Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results
- Develop and implement treatment plans for urgent medical conditions
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Ensure compliance with medical standards and protocols
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license to practice in the state of New York
- Experience in Emergency Medicine preferred
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of emergency protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Commitment to patient-centered care
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Annual Volume: 80k patients
Support Staff: APPs potentially another MD
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
