Job Summary/Description:
Are you fueled by the thrill of the game and the stories behind it WXIX-TV FOX19 the Gray Television station in Cincinnati is looking for a full-time high-energy Sports Multimedia Journalist to dive into one of Americas most passionate sports towns. From the Bengals Reds and FC Cincinnati to the University of Cincinnati Xavier and the tri-states vibrant high school sports scene youll cover it all. Were not just about stats and scores were about the people the passion and the community impact. We want the stories behind the runs hits and errors. The person will report write shoot and edit compelling sports content for on-air digital and social platforms. Youll develop and execute enterprise stories that go beyond the box score with accuracy fairness and flair.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Write edit and shoot sports content for on-air & digital platforms.
Consistently contribute to sports content on the stations social platforms
Maintain an unequivocal commitment to accuracy fairness and ethics
Meet daily deadlines
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelors degree in communications or related field preferred
Some experience as a sports multimedia journalist in a television newsroom is preferred
Exceptional on-camera presence and delivery
A disciplined individual with the ability to work independently is a must
Knowledge of ENPS and Edius preferred
Professional knowledge of broadcast news operations is a plus
Must have a valid drivers license and pass a motor vehicle records check
