Job Summary

Are you a credit professional with a sharp analytical mind and a passion for leadership Our client is seeking a Corporate Credit Analyst Team Leader to mentor a talented team elevate credit quality and influence strategic decisions in a fastpaced financial environment. If you thrive on problemsolving team development and producing highimpact credit applications this role is for you!



Leadership & Team Development:

Lead and manage a team of Credit Analysts ensuring high-quality output and optimized performance
Foster a culture of continuous learning through coaching upskilling and onboarding support for new starters
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Front Office Legal Compliance and broader Credit divisions

Credit Application Preparation & Review:
Oversee and prepare high-quality credit applications ensuring seamless presentations to senior management committees
Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements market dynamics and client creditworthiness
Ensure all applications align with internal credit policies regulatory requirements and risk frameworks
Deal Origination & Evaluation:
Participate in pre-deal discussions to shape deal structuring and provide effective credit solutions
Manage deal flow resource allocation and turnaround times to drive operational efficiency
Support analysts on complex presentations ensuring accuracy and high-quality delivery

Risk & Compliance:
Maintain strong awareness of the broader credit environment and apply sector insights to decision-making
Manage post-approval processes by liaising with Legal and Compliance to ensure correct sanction documentation

Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
Build collaborative internal relationships to support operational success
From time to time accompany Portfolio Managers on client visits to understand business operations and risk drivers

Ad-hoc Projects:
Support the Credit Manager with data clean-up and other special initiatives

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 35 years experience in credit risk management within the commercial or corporate environment
Strong analytical ability with deep understanding of financial statements and credit ratios
Familiarity with the National Credit Act
Strong financial and business acumen

Qualification:
BCom degree (Finance / Accounting)
Postgraduate qualification or professional certifications (CA CFA CIMA MBA) advantageous
