The automation engineer is responsible for the electrical pneumatic hydraulic and/or software engineering portion of Valmet new equipment. If you master more than one of these competences it will be a major strength but even more important is the capability motivation and willingness to grow as part of our highly professional and fastgrowing automation engineering team.
This position requires good cooperation skills with close environment (team members mechanical engineers workshop personnel) as well as with representatives of external companies (suppliers outsourced personnel) and Customer.
The automation engineer strives to meet the various position specific needs of the project by managing documentation participating in FATs commissioning testing and start-ups for the automation portion while also maintaining standards.
Documents are created and developed in Eplan/CADS and managed in PDM.
Your main responsibilities:
Create electrical pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams or PLC/DCS software along with the corresponding cabinet drawings and Part lists.
Timely completing engineering activities with respect to delivery time hourly budget and the target cost.
Support mechanical and process engineering teams in solution selection.
Support the sales team by providing expertise and answers to automation engineeringrelated questions
Support procurement team if needed to evaluate suppliers and brands.
Participate in FAT of software and hardware.
Participate in commissioning testing and starting up of equipment.
What do we expect from you
Bachelors or Masters degree in automation engineering or similar.
More than five years of experience in a similar role.
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as familiarity with automation platforms such as Valmet DNA Siemens PLC/PCS7 or AllenBradley is considered an advantage.
Industry knowledge of Board Paper and especially Tissue mills is considered an advantage.
Experience with Eplan/CADS is an additional advantage.
Proficiency in Polish and English; other languages are an asset.
A self-motivated engaged innovative and passionate working attitude.
Willingness to travel 0-40 days per year.
