The role will report into the Head of Product on the MP Activewear Clothing and will involve working closely with the design team merchandisers and garment technologists to oversee and deliver high quality product and drive the brand ambition forward.

As a Menswear Buyer Youll:

• Responsible for the menswear categorywith an assistant buyer.
• Driving the ambition of the brand by looking at growthopportunitiesandclearly understand product trend and opportunities. Influencing strategic plans and developments.
• Working with design to develop and deliver core and seasonal ranges clear understanding of the customer and the markets. Ability to interpret trend for sportswear. Overseeing range frameworks in all commercial aspects.
• Clear visionon supplier strategy and drive the supply base forward working closely with the sourcing team. Ensuring you are working to a true partnership that will develop best results with suppliers.
• Driving margin improvements within the category.
• Responding to competitor analysis and reviewing competitors in different global markets.
• Working with merchandising team to plan manage and challenge the buy andprofit targets at all times. Reviewing trading action plans.
• Drive product quality fit and customer metricsdelivering solutions andnew innovationworking closely with garment tech and quality team.
• Working collaboratively on sustainability across areas of product development.
• Developing andmaintainingstrong relationships across all areas of the business.
• Working with brand team to deliver evolution plan.
• Collaborating with the influencer team on developing partnerships.

Role Requirements:

• Buyer / Junior Buyer with experience in Sportswear product.
• Proventrack recordof managing and mentoring teams.
• Commercial awareness of sportswear market.
• Financial and analytical ability ability to review and react to performance.
• Experience ofFar Eastand European travel and sourcing from various locations.
• Clear critical path management across category to deliver to deadlines.
• Manage clear KPIs budgets and margin targets on sizeable category.
• Excellent communicator / ability to form strong working relationships.
• Negotiation skills.
