The SphereEnergy Connect LtdComplianceand ContractLeadis responsible forensuringSpheresregulatory reporting requirements are metas a distributionnetworkoperator reportingforour regulator OFGEM and for the Industry Code Bodies such asElexonand RECCO the role is responsible forleading onthe performance management of our Independent Connection Provider (ICP) partnerships for theongoing operation and maintenanceof ourlive network includingprogrammeof worksand our emergency services ensuring strong contract management disciplines are adhered will co-ordinate the land right processbetween internal stakeholders and third party ICPs and Distribution Network Companies (DNOs)andthe completion of assets transfer between the Asset Management & Operations team and the Regulation & Compliance team.
The role holder is also responsible for theongoing relationship management of our IT and CRM platform partnerships ensuring theSLAs set out in the contracts are fully adhered to anddelivered withany non-compliancebeingaddressed timeously.
The Compliance and ContractLead isaccountable for ensuring Spheres compliance with its Business Quality Management System Environmental Management System and Safety Management System supporting governanceassuranceand continuous improvement activities across these frameworks.
Whatyoullbe doing
Lead engagement with industry bodies and the regulator to ensure the IDNO business is represented in policy and regulatory discussions.
Ensure Spherecomplies withall industry codes under the distribution licence (BSC REC DCUSA SECDCode) and communicate key requirements to the wider team.
Manage engagement and contracts with thirdparty ICPs ensuring delivery against service schedules and SLAs supported by effective governance and performance monitoring.
Verify that all thirdparty providers carrying out repair and maintenance on Spheres network hold the necessary accreditations and approvals.
Lead contract management with SaaS providers for IT and CRM platforms ensuring SLA compliance andmaintainingappropriate governancestructures.
Conduct regulatory and compliance impact assessments and present clear outcomes and recommendations to the management team.
Facilitate crossdepartment collaboration acting as the link between Regulation & Compliance and other teams on regulatory matters.
Prepare andmaintainthe Compliance Statement and Register in line with each industry codes requirements.
Oversee adherence to Ofgems Guaranteed Standards of Performance implementing reporting and governance to address failures in partnership with Asset Management & Operations.
Promote safe working practices among ICPs and ensure contractors understand and meet Spheres HSE expectations.
Develop andmaintainan efficient handover process between Asset Maintenance & Operations and the Regulation & Compliance team for newly energised assets.
Support processes relating to supply interruptions quality issues repairs maintenance and inspections.
Coordinate with thirdparty providers during supply interruptions and safety incidents.
Oversee quality environmental and safety governance including audits reviews and management reporting.
Whatyoullbring
Technically astute with a preference for a Qualified BSc/Diploma in Regulation Business Management ContractManagementor other relevant qualification (e.g. MBA).
As a standalone role musthave in depth knowledge to lead on:
Relevant experience in a regulated utility or consultancy preferably with experience of regulatory requirements andleading conversationswith government public or consumer bodies.
Relevant experience incontract management preferably within a regulated activity.
Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of electricity distribution network operator licensees and associated regulations at application level.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritise and manage a diverse and demanding workload whilst under pressure.
Capability to manage and influence challenging discussions / situations with internal and external relationships.
