Department Overview

We believe our well coordinated clinical care contributes to our outcomes that are among the best in the country. Work as part of team that includes Cancer and Blood Disorder physicians nurse practitioners physician assistants nursing social work physical therapy nutrition child life clinic assistants and researchers.

The department at Childrens of Minnesota provides care for children of all ages with all types of malignancies including brain tumors solid tumors and leukemia; and blood disorders such as sickle cell disease bleeding disorders and anemia. As the largest provider of services for children with cancer and bleeding disorders in the region theCancer and Blood Disorders program focuses on providing well-coordinated knowledge-driven clinical care. We participate in national and international research and are leaders in research on supportive care and quality of life for children with cancer and bleeding disorders.

Position Summary

Provides case management and infusions for the pediatric hematology and oncology outpatient population. Responsibilities include psychosocial care of families; education and support to the child and family throughout treatment; telephone triage work within a multidisciplinary team including outpatient inpatient and community settings. Participates in the research process including documentation and data collection.

4 year degree BSN/BAN
* Current MN RN license.
* Current BLS Certification.
* APHON Chemotherapy/biotherapy Certification obtained within 8 weeks of hire.
* CPON preferred.
* 3 years of current Pediatric Hematology Oncology experience preferred.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employees scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
