This position is responsible for supporting the daily production activities by installing diagnosing repairing and maintaining electrical and electronic equipment in an Ethanol production plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Repair maintain and install electrical systems and equipment following all safety procedures electrical codes manuals schematics diagrams and blueprints
Inspect install maintain and repair electrical components instrumentation control systems network and related hardware on all production equipment based on plant specific requirements
Identify needs manage and coordinate preventative maintenance repairs and installation of new equipment or systems. Works with external contractors vendors and internal customers
Maintains site electrical standards ensure NEC (National Electrical Code) compliance
Train and develop others in basic electrical repair and troubleshooting techniques
Perform other general maintenance tasks as required
Maintain knowledge of all relevant safety policies and regulations serving as a role model for safe work practices. Proactively identify and address potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all on site

Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Associates Degree or technical degree in an electrical field preferred
5 years relevant experience in electrical systems and industrial equipment in a plant environment
Electrical Engineering license Electrical apprentice license and/or Journeyman license or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Work is performed in an ethanol production facility that operates 24x7 which will require flexibility to work nights weekends and holidays as needed
This position is subject to heavy lifting climbing working in strained positions and in confined areas occasionally for a prolonged period
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures with frequent exposure to noise dirt and a dusty environment
Occupational hazards are those associated with working at elevated heights and in proximity to large industrial machinery
