QC Inspector with CWI

The QC Inspector must make sure that products meet set of standards. Perform all activities necessary for a Capital-approved QC Welding Inspection.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Test sample and inspect raw materials fabricated machined assembled structures and industrial processes for quality deviations or defects according to specifications
  • This position will be inspecting welds and welding processes
  • Read and interpret blueprints manuals and specifications
  • Inspect approve or reject welds according to specifications
  • Inspect raw materials
  • Provide information regarding processes and specifications to welders supervisors and other appropriate members
  • Will test welders for qualifications
  • Will interact and coordinate efforts with contracted or internal weld x-ray teams
  • This position does not have any direct reports
  • Will talk and hear to communicate

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education Current Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) Certificate required

Experience 3 years experience working as a welding inspector

Must pass pre-employment physical drug screening and background check before starting at this site.
