Job Summary

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our team as a Group Sustainability Coordinator!

This role is a key enabler of Culina Groups commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible business practices. This role serves as the central point of coordination for sustainability initiatives across the Group ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and global standards such as the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

The successful candidate will act as a bridge between strategy and executiontranslating high-level sustainability goals into actionable plans tracking progress and driving continuous improvement. By managing data integrity supporting compliance and fostering collaboration across departments the role ensures that sustainability becomes embedded in day-to-day operations.

Beyond reporting and project support the Group Sustainability Coordinator will champion cultural change engaging stakeholders at all levels to build awareness and accountability. This position is critical to achieving Culina Groups ambition of reducing environmental impact enhancing resource efficiency and delivering long-term value for customers employees and communities.

Key responsibilities of the Group Sustainability Coordinator:

Data Management & Reporting

  • Collect analyse and assist with reporting on sustainability metrics (energy waste emissions fuel etc.)
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to improve emissions reporting data quality where possible.

Project Support

  • Assist in planning and delivering sustainability projects.
  • Monitor and provide progress updates to stakeholders where needed.

Compliance and Standards 

  • Help ensure the Group adheres to relevant legislative and industry reporting requirements and standards.
  • Support the business with audit and certification where needed.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal teams to embed sustainability practices in operations
  • Assist with internal and external communication of sustainability projects and progress.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance sustainability performance and efficiency.
  • Recommend innovative solutions to reduce environmental impact.

Supplier & Partner Collaboration

  • Support engagement with suppliers and partners to align with sustainability goals.
  • Help monitor compliance with sustainability standards in the supply chain.

Qualifications :

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Science Sustainability or related field.
  • Has an interest in sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work within multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and reporting standards (e.g. EcoVadis SBTi GLEC etc.)  
  • Desire to learn and continuously develop.
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
