About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced leader with over 15 years of expertise in procurement analytics and supply chain domains. The ideal candidate will combine advanced analytics skills with deep procurement and supply chain knowledge to drive strategic insights innovation and operational excellence. This leader will manage a team of 60100 analytics professionals and help build and scale the procurement analytics practice for WNS Procurement. The incumbent will be instrumental in enabling data-driven decisions across clients global procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy
- Lead mentor and scale a high-performing procurement analytics team of 50100 members.
- Define and execute the analytics roadmap for supply chain and procurement functions. A key ask of the role will be to build out modular solutions for different parts of procurement analytics spanning (but not limited to) spend forecasting visualization etc.
- Partner with senior leadership to translate business needs into research-driven analytics-enabled strategies.
- Analytics Excellence
- Conduct and oversee advanced analytics using quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Apply regression predictive modeling optimization and statistical testing for business impact.
- Experience and exposure to Gen AI tools and functionality is an added advantage.
- Build analytics frameworks for procurement spend analysis supplier benchmarking and market intelligence research.
- Leverage Python SQL visualization tools such Tableau/ Power BI and modern analytics platforms for scalable and reproducible solutions.
- Supply Chain & Procurement Focus
- Drive analytics and research initiatives across demand forecasting supplier risk assessment and inventory optimization.
- Enable procurement teams with insights on sourcing supplier performance negotiation strategies and category research.
- Develop research-backed strategies to optimize cost improve supplier resilience and support sustainable procurement.
- Operational & People Leadership
- Foster a culture of data-driven research analytics innovation and continuous improvement.
- Build governance frameworks for analytics delivery and ensure quality scalability and timely execution.
- Drive stakeholder alignment across business units procurement leaders and supply chain functions globally.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications
- 15 years of professional experience with significant focus on research and analytics in supply chain and procurement.
- Proven track record in leading large teams (60100 members) in analytics or research-driven organizations.
- Strong technical expertise in:
- Programming & Tools: Python (mandatory) SQL advanced Excel visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau/Qlik)
- Analytics Methods: Regression forecasting hypothesis testing optimization models
- Research Skills: Market research competitive analysis supplier benchmarking and data interpretation
- Demonstrated success in delivering procurement and supply chain impact through analytics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in global environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or PhD in Analytics Research Data Science Supply Chain Operations Research or related fields.
- Experience in consulting or working with global supply chain/procurement organizations.
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in supply chain (e.g. demand sensing supplier risk prediction).
