Job Summary
Steward Helper
As a Stewarding Helper you play a critical behind-the-scenes role in ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and safely. By maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness organization and sanitation you support the Culinary Team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to every guest.
Working under the guidance of the Chief Steward you help maintain an efficient kitchen environment through proper dishwashing equipment handling and workplace cleanliness.

What Youll Be Doing
Reporting to the Chief Steward your responsibilities include:
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all stewarding and kitchen areas
- Ensure kitchen floors remain clean dry and safe at all times
- Follow all health safety and sanitation regulations and company procedures
- Safely operate industrial dishwashing equipment
- Sort stack and properly load/unload dishware glassware cutlery and kitchen utensils
- Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned dried and stored correctly
- Inspect items for damage and remove chipped or broken dishware from circulation
- Record and report breakages or equipment issues
- Assist culinary and stewarding team members as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain a professional attitude and positive team spirit
- Perform additional duties assigned by leadership
Qualifications :
What Were Looking For:
- Previous stewarding dishwashing or cleaning experience is an asset
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards
- Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Regular lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Occasional kneeling pushing pulling and climbing stairs
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment with varying temperatures

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
