At SEEK our Senior Data Scientists play a key role in shaping how millions of people discover meaningful work. As a Senior Data Scientist in the Personalisation team youll lead the design and delivery of end-to-end AI solutionsfrom defining problems and running experiments to building models and deploying them at scale.
Youll work on some of SEEKs most impactful challenges including developing deep candidate representations personalising user experiences and powering adaptive content across our platforms. Youll collaborate closely with AI Engineers Product Managers Designers and other Data Scientists while also mentoring and supporting less experienced team members.

The Team
The Personalisation team sits within SEEKs Artificial Intelligence & Analytics (AIPS) group and plays a critical role in shaping how candidates interact with our products. We help users find the right opportunities faster by tailoring their experiences using behavioural signals advanced machine learning and deep user insights.
As part of a cross-functional specialised team we design and deploy models that power intelligent content systems and personalisation engines. We work in quarterly delivery cycles where we explore prototype and release solutions that enhance the job discovery experience for millions.
What Youll Do
In this role youll lead end-to-end personalisation initiativesworking closely with Product Managers Engineers and other Data Scientists to design build and deploy scalable machine learning solutions. Youll take ownership of the technical direction shaping the roadmap and driving experimentation to solve complex user experience challenges.
Youll develop and refine ML models run rigorous evaluations including A/B tests and ensure performance fairness and reliability in production. Youll also uncover data-driven insights that influence product strategy while providing mentorship technical guidance and thought leadership across the team.
Qualifications :
- 8 years experience in data science machine learning or applied AI ideally in product-focused environments.
- A track record of owning end-to-end ML solutions from idea and experimentation through to robust production deployment and iteration.
- A strong theoretical foundation in machine learning statistics and data analysis paired with a pragmatic approach to solving real-world problems.
- A Masters or PhD in Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Statistics or a related quantitative discipline.
- Fluency in Python and SQL and hands-on experience with modern data science tooling (e.g. Pandas Scikit-learn TensorFlow PyTorch).
- Practical experience with deep learning ranking models recommendation systems or personalisation frameworks used at scale.
- Deep experience in experimentation designing and running A/B tests interpreting results and applying rigorous model evaluation techniques to drive continuous improvement.
