The Team Youll Work With:
The Office of the Chief of Staff to the Mayor is responsible for the full suite of citywide and agency administrative operations to include scheduling and preparing the Mayor for his daily briefings meetings and events. The team led by the Mayors Chief of Staff coordinates the operations of the Office of International Affairs the Office of Operations the Office of Special Projects and Community Events the Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management Gracie Mansion and the Office of Correspondence the Office of Mass Engagement the Office of Emerging Markets and the Office of Sports Wellness and Recreation.
The Problems Youll Solve:
The Philanthropic Liaison will work in the Mayors Office under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Staff and in close coordination with the Chief of Staff. The role will support the administrations efforts to develop a coordinated philanthropic engagement strategy across City Hall and the administration and strengthen partnerships with philanthropic institutions private sector leaders and civic organizations.
This position will help ensure that external partnerships align with the Mayors priorities and will support strategic initiatives including collaboration with the Mayors Fund to Advance New York City.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief of Staff the Philanthropic Liaison will be responsible for the following:
-Serve as a primary liaison between City Hall and philanthropic nonprofit and private-sector partners to support strategic initiatives aligned with the Mayors priorities.
-Support the development and implementation of the administrations philanthropic engagement strategy including identifying partnership opportunities coordinating outreach and managing external relationships.
-Coordinate philanthropic conversations and opportunities across City Hall and agencies to ensure alignment avoid duplication and maintain consistent messaging.
-Develop briefing materials strategy memos and action plans for senior leadership engagement with funders philanthropic organizations and civic leaders.
-Work closely with the Mayors Fund to Advance New York City to support philanthropic investments in key initiatives and programs.
-Facilitate collaboration across agencies to identify initiatives suitable for philanthropic partnership and innovation pilots and liaise with agencies for initiative implementation.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with philanthropic institutions nonprofit organizations and other external stakeholders.

-You have demonstrated experience working with philanthropic institutions foundations or external stakeholders.
-You have experience supporting strategic initiatives partnerships or program development.

-Bachelors Degree required.
-5 years of experience in philanthropy government nonprofit leadership public-private partnerships or related fields.
