Palletizer

The Palletizer is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and begin growing your career in the glass manufacturing industry.  This role will operate strapping machines and automatic palletizers supplies load-building materials and moves loads from work area using a forklift.

The Palletizer will:

• Maintain supply of pallets tier sheets shrouds strapping and other material required for palletizing and strapping ware
• Check for proper application of straps around pallet loads (bulk and cased); places string ties and manual straps when required
• Operates automatic palletizer and automatic strapping machine to prepare load of ware
• Unjams strapping machine and automatic palletizers as required 
• Straightens loads replaces bottles discards damaged bulking materials and checks load integrity 
• Checks oil level in VFC regulators of automatic palletizers
• Identify problems with equipment may make very minor adjustments and reports malfunction of equipment to designated employee
• May manually palletize loads when automatic equipment malfunctions 
• Performs clean-up and housekeeping duties 

The Palletizer should have:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good interpersonal skills
• Be highly safety conscious
• Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule 

Qualifications :

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred 
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating schedule with weekend and holiday requirements.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations
