The Team
At Mount Vernon the Technology Team bridges technical support/integration with educational technology. As a school of inquiry innovation and impact. The Technology Team assesses current and emerging trends to procure and implement technology that best compliments and enhances our pedagogies such as inquiry based learning and competency based instruction.
The Role
The Technology Integration Architect ensures that the schools digital ecosystem works as a connected whole. This role manages and integrates key institutional platforms transforming data from across the school into clear insights that support decision-making innovation and continuous improvement. Working at the intersection of technology training and operations the role helps faculty and staff use systems effectively and responsibly. Effective efficient and ethical use of A.I. is critical to this roles success. The position combines systems architecture data analysis and collaborative problem-solving to make institutional information accurate accessible and actionable.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the schools core data platforms with a focus on Learning Management Systems (e.g. Veracross Toddle Canvas Google Workspace) ensuring reliability security and data integrity
- Design and maintain integrations between systems using middleware and automation tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual data entry
- Develop and manage dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights for school leadership faculty and operational teams
- Support system upgrades migrations and implementation projects while documenting architecture workflows and best practices
- Train and support faculty and staff in the effective use of data systems building a culture of data literacy and confidence with technology
- Partner with academic leaders to support initiatives such as competency-based education assessment tracking and student progress monitoring
- Help to design innovative solutions for the organization by staying current on emerging technologies including advancements in AI digital fluency and educational data tools identifying opportunities to improve institutional systems and workflows
- Collaborate with innovation teams and faculty on projects involving coding data analysis and digital systems
- Opportunities to teach or co-teach innovation coding or data literacy courses

- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Education Computer Science Data Analytics Educational Technology or a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 35 years of experience managing enterprise software systems institutional databases or data platforms.
- Strong data analysis skills with experience querying cleaning and analyzing data
- Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts and data insights into clear actionable information for non-technical audiences
- Experience documenting system workflows processes and technical architecture
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cross-functional initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with educators administrators and technical teams
- Commitment to data privacy security and ethical use of institutional information
- Experience working in K12 schools higher education or educational technology environments and/or familiarity with school information and learning systems such as Veracross Canvas Toddle Blackbaud PowerSchool or similar platforms (preferred)
