Position: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse
Location: Bronx New York
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Per Diem (Flexible Scheduling Available)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate PICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in the Bronx. The PICU RN will provide specialized high-quality nursing care to critically ill infants children and adolescents in a fast-paced pediatric intensive care environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor and assess patient conditions vital signs and response to treatment
Administer medications IV therapies and specialized treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary teams
Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment
Support and educate families regarding patient care and treatment plans
Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Requirements:
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 12 years PICU experience preferred
BLS and ACLS certification required
PALS certification required
Strong critical thinking and pediatric assessment skills
Ability to work in a high-acuity fast-paced environment
