Head of Configuration Management

We are looking for a person with a strong leadership and business understanding with a passion for Configuration Management!

Your role

We are looking for a Head of Configuration Management for Saab Kockums Business Unit Submarines. You will be part of the Program Management Office management team and have an overall responsibility for Configuration Management within Submarines. You will continuously drive our business and operations towards excellence and secure successful Configuration Management throughout the product lifecycle for our Submarine projects.

Your main tasks within this unit will be:

• Manage and develop the Configuration Management function. The Configuration Management function is under development and there are great opportunities for setting good standards for future operations.
• Coordinate the Configuration Management work within the Business Unit and other stakeholders to ensure that each part of the organization is reaching necessary Configuration Management standards ensuring high quality products for our customers.
• Ensure efficient way of working in our projects
• Support and develop Configuration Managers
• Drive and contribute in our journey of change.

This role reports to Saab Kockums Head of Program Management Office Business Unit Submarine.

Your profile

You have a good understanding and experience of Configuration Management as well as development and production of complex products. You are an experienced leader great at connecting collaborating and building relationships that order to succeed you need to have a proactive mindset and as a person you are engaged in your responsibilities with the drive to reach desired addition you consider yourself to be business driven and engaged in continuous improvements and learning in our operations by creating engagement and inspiring teams.

Required skills:

• Extensive experience in Configuration Management in large-scale organizations covering both development and production of complex products.
• Proven leadership skills managing teams within and outside your own organization.
• Excellent ability to build and manage relationships and cooperate and engage internal or external teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English verbal and written
• Knowledge and understanding of regulated processes for complex products with high safety standards.
• You have the drive and capacity to set and develop structures identify areas of improvement and have perseverance to complete necessary activities.

Desired skills:

• Experience in Naval shipbuilding.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
