Job Summary

Infosys is seeking a Lead Linux/Unix Administrator. The role requires deep technical expertise strong troubleshooting skills automation mindset and the ability to work closely with architects application teams and customers.

Required Skills:

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Memphis TN or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
At least 6 years of experience in Linux Administration and support.
Endtoend administration of Linux and Unix systems in large enterprise environments
Installation configuration upgrade patching and lifecycle management of Linux/Unix servers
Manage OS platforms such as RHEL Oracle Linux SUSE Ubuntu and Unix variants (Solaris / AIX / HPUX as applicable)
Perform kernel tuning performance optimization and capacity planning
Strong expertise in troubleshooting production issues related to CPU memory disk filesystem and network
Develop and maintain shell scripts (Bash/KSH) for automation and operational efficiency
Handson experience with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible preferred)
Work on incident problem change and request management in ITILbased environments
Participate in 24x7 oncall and critical incident bridges when required
Collaborate with application teams DB teams network teams and customers
Mentor junior engineers (L1/L2/L3) and provide technical guidance
Contribute to migration modernization and transformation initiatives

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
