Job Summary
Oak Ridge R-6 School Districtis seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. This position involves working with students with diverse learning needs creating individualized education programs (IEPs) and fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students unique needs.
- Adapt and modify instructional materials and teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Collaborate with general education teachers support staff and parents to ensure student success.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust strategies as needed.
- Provide a supportive and structured learning environment for students with special needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Missouri teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility for provisional certification.
- Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
