The successful candidate will inspire students to think critically about history government economics and global issues while fostering civic engagement and respectful dialogue in the classroom.
The ideal candidate will:
Design and deliver engaging standards-based instruction in high school social studies courses.
Foster critical thinking inquiry and discussion around historical and contemporary issues.
Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse learning needs and perspectives of all students.
Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor student learning and inform instruction.
Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with students and families.
Contribute positively to the school community and ongoing professional learning.
Qualifications:
Vermont Educator License with appropriate Social Studies endorsement or eligibility for licensure.
Demonstrated commitment to equity inclusion and relationship-centered teaching.
Strong communication organization and collaboration skills.
