Job Description: IRATA Level 1 Technician
Role Overview
The IRATA Level 1 Technician is responsible for carrying out rope access tasks safely and efficiently under the direct supervision of Level 2 or Level 3 technicians. The role involves assisting with inspection cleaning maintenance and other work-at-height activities while strictly adhering to IRATA international safety standards. The position is suitable for entry-level candidates with valid IRATA Level 1 certification and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rope access tasks as instructed by Level 2 or Level 3 supervisors.
Assist in cleaning inspection minor maintenance and general work-at-height operations.
Maintain safe working practices following IRATA International Code of Practice (ICOP).
Inspect and prepare rope access equipment before and after use.
Set up basic rope systems under supervision and support rigging activities.
Follow all safety guidelines toolbox talks and work permits (PTW).
Report hazards unsafe conditions and equipment issues immediately to supervisors.
Assist in rescue procedures or drills as required.
Maintain documentation daily logs and equipment checklists.
Support site teams with additional operational tasks as needed.
Essential Qualifications
Valid IRATA Level 1 Certification (mandatory).
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Medically fit for work at height (valid fit-for-duty medical certificate).
Previous experience in cleaning maintenance or industrial operations is an advantage.
Required Skills
Basic rope access techniques and understanding of work-at-height safety.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work under direct supervision.
Good physical stamina and willingness to work in challenging environments.
Awareness of safety protocols PPE usage and emergency procedures.
Strong teamwork communication and discipline.
Ability to remain calm and focused in demanding situations.
