Purchasing Agent Internship Summer 2026
The Purchasing Agent Intern at Koops supports the Supply Chain team by helping order receive and distribute machine components and shop supplies. This role provides hands-on experience with purchasing processes supplier coordination and internal operations within the custom automation industry.
As part of the team the intern will assist with purchasing activities while gaining exposure to supplier development cost management and real-world supply chain operations.
What Youll Do
Create and manage purchase orders with suppliers
Expedite orders quotes back orders and scope changes as needed
Review and process supplier order acknowledgments and resolve price or timing discrepancies
Review and assist with resolving problem invoices
Receive and deliver components to the Machine Assembly team
Support supplier communication and purchasing coordination
Assist with supplier development and cost reduction initiatives
Analyze outcomes of supplier cost-out strategies and support related business cases

Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management Business or a related field.
