The Role

The school is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Media Technician to support the media department.

The successful candidate will ensure that equipment and resources are prepared for lessons support students during practical projects and maintain the departments technical facilities.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a creative environment where students are encouraged to explore filmmaking digital media and production techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing cameras lighting and audio equipment for lessons

  • Supporting students with filming and editing projects

  • Maintaining media equipment and digital resources

  • Managing storage and organisation of equipment

  • Supporting teachers during practical media lessons

  • Assisting with school productions and creative events

  • Ensuring equipment is used safely and responsibly

Person Specification

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Interest or experience in media production or digital technology

  • Knowledge of filming equipment and editing software

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Ability to support students in practical learning activities

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Experience working with media equipment or in a creative environment would be advantageous.
