About the Role
As a Science Teacher you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 depending on your subject specialism and experience. You will help pupils develop strong scientific knowledge practical skills and critical thinking abilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching Biology Chemistry or Physics depending on your specialism
Delivering practical experiments and investigations in a safe and engaging way
Monitoring pupil progress through assessment and effective feedback
Differentiating lessons to support pupils of varying abilities
Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental collaboration
Supporting enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs or science competitions
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Science
Demonstrate the ability to deliver engaging and structured lessons
Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be committed to supporting pupils academic progress and curiosity in science
Be enthusiastic about working collaboratively within a successful department
