About the Role
As a Music Teacher you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 helping pupils develop musical skills creativity and confidence. You will encourage students to explore different musical genres instruments and techniques while supporting them in building strong performance and composition skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching a range of musical skills including performance composition and listening
Supporting pupils in developing confidence in musical expression and creativity
Using music technology and practical activities to enhance learning
Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Supporting extracurricular music activities such as choirs ensembles or school performances
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Music
Be able to inspire and engage pupils through creative and practical lessons
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be committed to developing pupils confidence and musical abilities
Show enthusiasm for contributing to the schools musical life and extracurricular activities
