Director, IT Production Controls

The Director Production Control is responsible for overseeing the planning coordination and execution of production control processes to ensure efficient and effective management of IT systems infrastructure and applications. This leader will implement best practices for production control partner with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives to align production activities with organizational goals.

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement an enterprise-wide production control strategy.
• Establish governance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives for production control processes.
• Lead a team of production control managers analysts and coordinators.

Production Control Process Oversight

• Define and enforce production control policies procedures and standards.
• Oversee the scheduling and execution of production activities to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
• Minimize risk and impact associated with production activities while maximizing value delivery.
• Run daily Change Advisory board (CAB) Meeting to ensure quality before any changes to production

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with infrastructure application development security and business units to plan and coordinate production activities.
• Communicate production-related information clearly across stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Provide executive reporting on production success rates incident correlations and production-related risk metrics.

Risk and Impact Management

• Ensure risk assessments and business impact analyses are conducted for all major production activities.
• Lead post-production review processes including root cause analysis of failed activities.

Tool & Technology Integration

• Evaluate and manage tools supporting production control (e.g. ServiceNow Jira BMC Remedy).
• Ensure production automation and documentation are integrated with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices where applicable.

Required:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or a related field.
• Masters degree or MBA preferred.

Experience:

• 10 years in IT with 5 years in production control leadership roles.
• Proven track record of implementing and scaling production control processes.
• Experience managing production activities in hybrid environments (on-prem cloud DevOps agile).

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in production control or IT management are preferred.
