Job Summary

Elementary Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for educators who are passionate about supporting diverse learners and collaborating with colleagues to meet students academic social and emotional needs.

Salary: Will be based on the districts certified salary schedule and be dependent on education and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Serve as a case manager and maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with district state and federal regulations.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and adapt curriculum to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Monitor student progress using data and adjust instruction to support growth.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers families and related service providers to support student success.
  • Create a structured inclusive classroom environment that supports academic social and emotional development.
  • Supervise and support paraprofessionals assigned to students/placement.
  • Participate in IEP meetings professional development and school activities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid Missouri Special Education certification
  • Bachelors degree in education or related field
  • Strong organizational communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to supporting diverse learners and building positive relationships with students and colleagues
