Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit within a busy acute care hospital. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care monitor cardiac conditions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with telemetry monitoring acute care nursing and cardiac rhythm interpretation along with the ability to respond quickly to medical and cardiac emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Monitoring
Provide direct nursing care for patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings
Respond to dysrhythmias cardiac events and emergency situations
Activate Rapid Response or Code teams when necessary
Administer oxygen therapy and assist with non-invasive airway management
Clinical Procedures
Perform IV therapy and peripheral line management
Conduct phlebotomy and specimen collection when required
Implement and maintain infection control and isolation precautions
Provide respiratory support using nasal cannula and oxygen delivery systems
Care Coordination & Documentation
Develop and implement patient-centered care plans
Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical record system
Collaborate with physicians charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams
Provide patient education and discharge planning
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS Certification
Recent acute care nursing experience
Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy
Knowledge of infection control and isolation precautions
Charge nurse experience
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit
Experience in high-volume acute care hospitals
Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
